Samuel said to Saul, 'Here is what Yahweh Sabaoth says: I noted how the Amalekites opposed Israel when they were coming up from Egypt.'
' So go now and attack the Amalekites. Put them under the curse of destruction. Kill the men, women, children, and babies, cattle, sheep, camels, and donkeys. Spare no one. '
So Saul mustered 210,000 troops and advanced on the cities of the Amalekites.
He carried out the curse of destruction, killing all the people with the sword.
