Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind, saying, 'Who is this speaking in ignorance? Gird your loins like a man and I will question you, and you will answer me!'<br>

'Where were you when I was laying the foundation for the earth? Who determined its measurements? On what are its foundations sunk? Who laid its conerstone?'<br>

'Who shut the sea behind doors when it burst from the womb and established its limits, setting doors and bars in place, saying, "You may come this far and no farther, here is where your proud waves halt"?'<br>

'Have you ever in your life commanded the dawn to know its place, that it might take hold of the foundations of the earth and shake the wicked out of it?'<br>

'Have you ever traveled to the springs that feed the seas? Or walked on the bottom of the oceans? Have you seen the gates to the shadow of death?'<br>

'Can you comprehend the expanse of the earth? Do you know where light dwells and where darkness lives and how to get there? Surely you know, for the number of your days is so great!'<br>

'Have you been to the storage houses for snow and hail? Tell me the place where lightning is dispersed, and where the East wind is from!'<br>

'Clothe yourself in splendor, unleash your furious wrath on proud men, crush the wicked, bury them in dust, and then I will acknowledge your power.'<br>

Job answered Yahweh, saying, 'I know you can do all things, and no plan of yours can be thwarted. I have spoken of things I do not understand. Therefore I despise myself and repent.'<br>

Then Yahweh said to Eliphaz, 'My anger burns against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken the truth about me as my servant Job has. Now take seven bulls and seven rams and make a burnt sacrifice for yourselves.'<br>
