Then Solomon took thirteen years to build his palace. It was made throughout with expensive dressed stone and cedar wood.

He built the portico. It was 75 feet long and 45 feet wide with a porch in front with pillars and a roof.

He built the Hall of the Forest of Lebanon. It was 150 feet long, and 75 feet wide with four rows of cedar pillars, fifteen to a row.

King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold and three hundred small shields of hammered gold and placed them in the Hall of the Forest of Lebanon.

And he built the Hall of the Throne where Solomon would dispense judgment.

The King made a large throne of ivory and overlaid it with pure gold. The back of it was rounded. The throne had two armrests with lions beside them.
